This is an excellent question because many principles such as faith, belief and action are common principles in both religion and the law of attraction. So, the question now is whether prayer is a good substitute for the law of attraction.
The answer is that it depends. If you’re religious, then prayer is a much better option. If you’re an atheist, you wouldn’t really care.
In this article, we’ll look at the Christian faith and see how it is a good alternative for the law of attraction.
In fact, this could be applied to any religion because faith is a common denominator for every religion on this planet.
The most powerful point when it comes to prayer is this – you are putting your faith in a higher power. The law of attraction places all responsibility on your shoulders. If your dreams do not materialize fast enough or at all, you blame yourself. You assume that it must have been something that you did wrong.
When you pray, you’re trusting God to provide you with what you need to make your dreams come true. It’s now in God’s hands.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)
This is the exact principle of the law of attraction… but now you’re asking God for what you want and you know that in his infinite wisdom, He will provide. In the event that you do not get what you want, you will assume that God has something better in store for you.
Like they say, God never closes a door without opening a window. This is an advantage that you get with prayer. You do not feel defeated when what you want doesn’t appear.
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9).
This helps keep your spirits up when you’re down because you believe that God has something better in store for you.
Many people who are facing financial woes or marital problems or any other issues, turn to the law of attraction for help. They try to be optimistic and have faith. This can be extremely difficult because they are using their will power to harness their faith in themselves.
If you look at the Bible, in Psalm 46:10 it says “Be still, and know that I am God.” This is very comforting to many Christians because even in the midst of all their problems they believe that God is looking out for them.
This belief lifts their sagging spirits up and gives them strength. They look upon their woes in a better light and it is this positive outlook that attracts to them whatever their heart desires.
You must be happy to give off a positive vibe and only a positive vibe can attract positive things. For the joy of the Lord is your strength and you can do all things through He who strengthens you.
The words are so powerful that many unbelievers have believed in miracles after reading it. It is this belief that attracts all that your heart desires. Your strength comes from faith in an Almighty God whom you know has your best interests at heart.
With such faith, like the Bible says, you can move mountains. Prayer is definitely a wonderful alternative to the law of attraction. They’re both in essence the same thing but where one places faith in man… the other places faith in God. You’ll need to decide for yourself, whom you’ll put faith in.
