It's almost fall!

Leila Rhoden here, and that’s not me in the photo above. I wish it was. Could’ve been maybe 20 or 30 years ago. Never had a Harley, but I’m not giving up yet. It’ll have to have a sidecar on it because I never could hold one up by myself – even 20 or 30 years ago. You’re probably thinking, “She’s OLD!” Well, I just turned 59 years old and I feel as good, and sometimes even better than I did 20 or 30 years ago. O.K. I’ll stop saying “20 or 30 years ago.” This is now, thank Goodness!

Getting old happens to be one of my specialties – I mean – a subject that I’m somewhat of an expert on. I have a master’s degree in Gerontology (the study of aging) from the University of West Georgia and I have plenty of experiential knowledge. During the years since I left grad school, I have gained even more, in depth knowledge of what it takes to age in a good and healthy way. I can run and work circles around someone 20 to 30 years younger than me. (Did I just say that? I meant to say 30 to 40 years younger than me!)

You see, life itself is a continuous learning experience. You’ll learn something new everyday if you pay attention to what’s going on around you. And, you’ll gather much more valuable knowledge when you intentionally look for information on the subjects that interest you, and when you seek out the things that can make your life better.

This has been my website for showcasing and selling the WordPress themes and done-for-you websites that I have designed and built just for you to liven up your blogs, affiliate niche sites, and other types of business websites. However, I will be moving most all of the posts, etc. to two new sites – Making Art Web Design and Making Art Hosting – where you can get a great deal on hosting and training for managing your own WordPress website(s). I also have a new site coming up – Website Mini Mart – where you can buy or rent niche websites, affiliate sites, and/or websites for your small business, etc. And, you will also be able to order a custom designed site if you so desire.

This website – LeilaRhoden.com – is morphing into a personal blog where I will be sharing my experiences of what is going on with me as a I grow older and expand my internet presence and business. You will read about how I am in the process of leaving my fulltime J-O-B by making the leap (more like gently jumping down one step at-a-time) into being fully self-employed, a move I probably should have made before now. Yes, fear can be a big bitch and hold us back when we probably would’ve been in a much better place already. I feel very fortunate to have found a creative outlet doing something that I absolutely love doing. It’s time, folks, for us all who choose to be liberated from that which diminishes (the status quo) to that which empowers (life on your terms) – to just do it! I’ll keep ya posted.
