One thing very important to the practice of yoga is learning to look back at your life.

People tell you all the time to be in the present and never look back, but it is vital that you take a look back and deal with any issues from way back when.

Some of us have had parents who weren’t supportive or abusive. Some of us had a spouse who was the same way; non-supportive or abusive.

Maybe, we aren’t proud of the way we treated people way back in the day. Or we’ve done something that we just weren’t very proud of.

Everyone has some kind of issue that they need to deal with, if they haven’t already, and in order to really be in the moment, to live in the present, you have to take a look back and learn to let those feelings go. Continue reading
