Many people mark New Year, birthdays or some other milestone in their lives as a time to begin living better. We all want the short time we have on this earth to be great and we know there are ways we can change to make our lives better. Plus, we want to make a mark in the world so that others will remember us with love and fondness.
Imagine what people might say about you at your funeral. Do you think you’d be pleased to know that people were missing you or sad that you didn’t do more? That question can help you begin to live your life in a way that your time will matter.
First, you’ll want to be generous – with your money, time and efforts. Many times it will create what is known as the “butterfly effect” – which means that it will cause others that you don’t even know and have never met to be more generous.
If you haven’t already, you’ll want to find your true purpose in life. Don’t go through your entire life wishing you’d followed your dreams and put forth your unique ideas. If you were born with a talent, think of how it would benefit the world – and you – by following through with it.
Carpe’ Diem – Seize the Day! Live every day as if it’s your last. Your life will go by faster than you can imagine and you don’t want to reach the end with regrets that you didn’t do more, say more or be more.
Be grateful for all you have. There was a lot to love about “the good old days,” but think of all you have today that wasn’t around then. Amazing health cures and remedies that have saved lives are now available and we can communicate with people around the world within Nano-seconds.
Jump on the “healthy living” track and enjoy all that it has to offer to make you a healthier and wiser person.
Exercise can keep your joints moving and your mind alert, so be sure and engage in some type of exercise every day.
Stop fearing failure. This is the cause of so many people not taking action to achieve what they desire in life. Take a chance – take action to make your life the best it can be. You know the areas of your life you need to change – do it now.
